These terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the After Dark Bookshop LTD website and the purchase of products or services (“Products”) offered through the website. By accessing or using our website and purchasing Products, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our website or purchase Products.
Product Information
We strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information about our Products on our website.
Orders and Payment
By placing an order through our website, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a legally binding contract. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when placing an order. All orders are subject to acceptance and availability, and we reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for any reason.
Payment for Products is due at the time of purchase. We accept payment through credit/debit card or Paypal. Prices are displayed in Sterling, and all payments are processed in Sterling.
Shipping and Delivery
Boxes will be shipped during the month listed on the product listing, unless otherwise communicated. Please note that we are not responsible for any delays or failures in delivery caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, transportation disruptions, or customs delays. Any address changes must be made before the month of shipment. For example, if a box is shipping in October, address changes must be made before the end of September. Loss of shipments due to incorrect address from the customer is the liability of the customer. Any lost shipments marked delivered must be reported within 7 days of marked delivery.
Signing editions and exclusives will NOT be shipped and must be picked up at the event.
All Sales Are Final
All sales made through After Dark Bookshop LTD are final. We do not accept cancellations or offer refunds once an order has been placed.
Signing Editions
All signing editions are to be picked up by customers at the event in question. After Dark is not responsible for ticketing and acquiring tickets to the event is the responsibility of the customer. Any books not picked up at the event and not cancelled by the cancellation date will be forfeited and will not be refunded.
Any overstock of signing editions put on sale or up for trade before the items are in hand will result in your order being cancelled and refunded.
Product Pricing
Product prices listed on our website do not include shipping, taxes, or any other fees unless otherwise stated. These additional charges will be calculated and displayed during the checkout process.
International Buyers: International buyers are responsible for any shipping fees, customs duties, import taxes, or other fees imposed by their country’s customs regulations. Please be aware of your country’s import policies before placing an order.
Open Pre-Order: This is an open pre-order, meaning that orders are accepted before the products are officially released or available for shipment. By placing a pre-order, you understand and accept that there may be delays or changes to the expected shipment date.
Book Sets Only: Books included in our special edition book boxes are sold as a set and cannot be purchased individually unless otherwise specified.
Pre-order Limit: There is no limit to the number of preorders that can be placed per customer.
Return Policy: We do not accepts returns. All sales are final.
Damage Criteria: Please inspect your order upon receiving it and contact us immediately if the item is defective, or damaged or if you received the wrong item. You can contact us (contact@afterdarkbookshop.com) to file a claim and we will ask you to provide photos of the damaged items. You have 72hrs from the time the order is delivered to contact us regarding any issues. All damage must be reported in initial contact as damage can occur in customer's possession for which the company is not responsible. If we deem your order is damaged, you must return the order to us before we ship a replacement. Damaged books must be returned within 7 working days. We do not cover the shipping cost. In the case that the book is deemed damaged and cannot be replaced, we will provide a partial refund dependent on the severity of the damage.
Does qualify as damaged:
- A large tear/rip/cut or visible dent on the front of the book
- A large tear/rip/cut on the spine
- Large dented or crushed corners (more than 2cm)
- More than one ripped or bent page that affects text on a page
- Production defects (such as a missing finish/foil)
- A book that should have been signed but isn’t
- Scratches, marks or residue on the back cover of the book
- Issues with the top or bottom edge of the book
- Wavy pages
- Lightly dented or crushed corners
- Ripped or damaged blank pages
- Creasing, slight denting or folding on the spine
- Small dent in the spine
- Missing artwork
Please note, signing editions cannot be replaced. If you order overstock of a signing edition, we will provide a partial refund dependent on the severity of the damage.
